Aviation, as a whole, is a conservative industry. And that works quite well, actually. When it comes to products used (or sold) on board, innovation comes slow as well. For a lot of different reasons, that is a good thing. An airplane is, as far as service and sales are concerned, not the best environment to be introducing new things. If nothing else, the passenger simply does not have the headspace. There a too many stress factors to really get through to a passenger while flying; the children need attention, the client waiting for them at the other end is causing stress or simply because they are not as comfortable on board an airplane as we are. Fact is, in most cases there is only limited attention for that what we present to them. So the easiest way to get them to appreciate it or make the choices we would like them to make, is to make sure it is recognisable. These are cognitive processes.
So, given these facts, most of what you would need is actually pretty common and readily available. You do not need us to find you a 12oz can of coke or a stack of 8oz paper cups. You can get these anywhere. A half gallon stainless steel thermos that fits inside a standard ATLAS unit? A little harder maybe, and we can help you there. Getting real Italian coffee in a disposable cup, individually packed and just the right size to fit a standard 12cm drawer? We do have those. Shelf stable hot meals and snacks with a shelf life of 6 months, packed with cutlery and ready to be heated on board? Of course we can send you these. Do you need premium perfumes in 30ml bottles? We can send these right out. USB cables that are 6 feet long because the sockets in hotel rooms are always too far away? Sure, we have those. We carry a whole range of products that do well when it comes to on board sales and services. If we don’t have it, we will find it. And if we can’t find it, we will have it made.
